Marko Saric of the How To Make My Blog website has loads of advice and some really useful infographics on this page: How To Write Catchy Blog Post Headlines.
5 Easy Tricks to Help You Write Catchy Headlines by Jeff Goins is a quick read which includes two useful word lists and a simple headline writing formula.
This guest post by Nick Marquet for the Grammarly Blog includes a link to a really fun website: Portent’s Content Idea Generator which throws up some unusual and occasionally hilarious headlines and ideas for content.
And in The Ultimate Guide to Writing More Effective Headlines, Lilach Bullock generously offers several lists of useful headline suggestions.
When I searched “how to write headlines”, Google offered 36 million responses. I think these five websites are enough for now. When I’ve put all the advice into practice hopefully my blog traffic will go into the stratosphere!
