Eight minutes of British seaside holiday fun from 1968. Loved it!

  1. Great footage! Love the bit where the little girl is sitting on her mum’s lap in the front of the car! How times change. It must have been about 1968 that I went on holiday to Torquay with my parents and my sister. Favourite places were the model village and Cockington. We stayed at the Cortina Hotel, I remember, (a special treat to stay in a hotel – we usually went away in our caravan) and were told by the owner when we left that we’d been the best behaved children he’d ever had to stay! 😇 😂

    1. Great story, Wendy. I’ve never actually been there but it was a favourite holiday destination of my grandparents throughout the fifties and sixties. Thanks for stopping by. 🌸🌺🌼
