Walking in the Wolds again

While we’re in lockdown and visits anywhere are restricted, I’ve been revisiting some favourite places by looking at old photos. You might like to join me on today’s walk!

This time we’re in the Yorkshire Wolds. These photos are from late April in 2016.

We combined a walk at Helperthorpe Wold with a visit to the gardens at Sledmere. It must have been warmer in 2016 as the oil seed rape was in full bloom. Yesterday, we woke to a covering of snow and some of the largest feather flakes I’ve seen in years. Although it was all thawed by lunch time. Maybe we’ll have some similar weather to 2016 later in the month. I hope so!

Thanks for reading my blog today. Hope your day is going well. If you’re stocking up your Kindle for the holiday season visit our website for details of some books you might have missed.
